Jonathan is a storyteller, cook and author who takes a truly unique approach to corporate and organizational storytelling and team building - and it involves food. Everybody eats! In team building sessions Jonathan uses these shared experiences of food and personal history to help groups build trust and communication. Jonathan’s storytelling workshops use food stories to teach basic skills like authenticity and vulnerability which are then applied to create stories about your team or organization that are memorable, will be shared and inspire action.
What does an experience with Jonathan look like? They range from interactive sessions at conferences to experiences involving cooking a few dishes in your conference room or a full meal in a private home kitchen. Jonathan has worked with teams of 10 and delivered a keynote session to 250.
Looking back it seems like Jonathan spent his early career building to this work. He combines management experience from his family’s small business, an MBA and a decade of association management experience.
And the food? How does an association manager become a storyteller, cook and author? Six years ago, looking for the next big adventure in life, Jonathan began offering weekly, live cooking demonstrations at DC’s historic Eastern Market. Today he’s done more than 250 live events ranging from cooking demos to storytelling and team building from coast to coast and just released his third book, each a combination of recipes and stories.
Clients include USDA, NIH, BIO, the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA), Hale Financial Planning Group and as a keynote speaker at the IGC show.
